layout Wes and Lilah from "Home". Mmmm. Bronze buffyguide.com Polyamorous Recs Slayage.com pitas my immortal/evanescence i'm so tired of being here suppressed by all of my childish fears and if you have to leave i wish that you would just leave because your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone these wounds won't seem to heal this pain is just too real there's just too much that time cannot erase when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears and i've held your hand through all of these years but you still have all of me you used to captivate me by your resonating light but now i'm bound by the life you left behind your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams your voice it chased away all the sanity in me these wounds won't seem to heal this pain is just too real there's just too much that time cannot erase when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears and i've held your hand through all of these years but you still have all of me i've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone but though you're still with me i've been alone all along Watched Angel rerun. EEEEEE. Lilah! Alive! And molesting Angel! EEEEE. It really doesn't take much to make me happy, although just seeing Lilah again really made it even more obvious that, you know, Eve is the Diet Coke of Lilah. And I mean that in an even harsher way than how Gavin was the Diet Coke of Lindsey. We all know this is an insult to Diet Coke. Speaking of which, who wants to see Lindsey stride into Angel's office this season and just go, "Hypocrite much?" All in all, now I've watched the first episode again, I'm feeling a bit more grudging with my praise and excitement - I couldn't help but be hyper before, considering it was the premiere. But I can't help thinking they are trying to completely bypass the real question here: what does everyone else remember? That makes ALL the difference. Especially with Wesley. Does he remember Lilah at all? Because while on the one hand I'll be upset if she's just been completely wiped from his mind, that's the only reason it would be acceptable for him to be there anymore, really. Remembering that while everyone else was lured into W&H in the finale, all he cared about was Lilah's fate...if he's forgotten entirely, then I can handle him STILL pining for Fred and sticking around for that reason...but otherwise, if he remembers even a little? Why would he stay? What's in it for him? Of course there are other questions I want anwered, but Wesley is really what matters the most...but also what does everyone ELSE think happened to Darla? Hmm? How did Jasmine show up? Why was Cordelia evil, and how did she end up in that coma anyway? Right. I'm feeling incredibly pouty that Lilah's gone - I really think that they just couldn't afford Stephanie Romanov this year. Eve is a last-minute thing when they realized, oops, no Lilah, let's change the name in the script and hire somebody. I'm not just saying this because I think Eve was badly cast - I'm saying it because her lines were written for Lilah so clearly! (If the casting wasn't so bad I wouldn't be able to help liking Eve! In the script she's just Lilah with a new nametag.) Because it would have been so much more interesting had Lilah stuck around - the balance between her zinging Angel, while also being the only person who remembered, with the added drama of what she would feel if Wes didn't remember her? Come on! These are the questions that should be answered and they are dodging them completely in favor of trying to grab a new audience. I feel like the introduction of Spike is just a... Viewers: But wait, wait, that doesn't make any sense- Writers: Uh... *point at James Marsters* Look! Shiny! Viewers: That's not gonna w.....ooooh, shinyyyy... Meanwhile it seems like the new Thing is "Law and Order: Evil Multidimensional Supernatural Unit". No, bad. nyonyo @ 08:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2003 *gape* ....that was the BEST. Episode ending. EVER. XDXDXDXD "*gasp* Spike!" "*grrrr* Spike!" "*squeaaaal* BLONDIE-BEAR~!" Ohmygod. Ohmygod. *scream* The PROMO. "I'm Angel." "I'm his date! *heart*" Right. Eve is just a slut and I want Lilah back DAMN IT. Bring her BACK! ;___; This was just a fun episode...one of the better openers, I'd say. (Of course "City of" is great and I was really partial to "Deep Down" as well but this was almost as good as both of those.) When I heard about Harmony I went "..." but it works excellently. She's so cute~! I want to see Knox in every episode, love him. Joss swooped in to direct just in time - did anyone else notice how last season they quit doing the transitions entirely?! I LOVED those! But there were plenty of them here so hopefully they'll stick around! I just want to gush and gush, this wasn't exactly the best episode ever but it had so much to set up for a season, and it did it in a really amusing way. I loved the Olsen twins basically having sold their souls, the ritual sacrifice hotline, and the way Harmony sniffled over Cordelia for two full seconds. The Angel fight scene was sparkly and Matrix-like. Except the special op guy cackling over the wonderful triumph of EVIL. I mean, you can't talk about how cool EVIL is unless you have serious style (*cough*Lilah*cough*: "Angel. I'm still...evil. I don't do errands....unless they're....evil....errands."). Eh. Was I the only one goggling over Angel's, "I have no trouble spanking men," line? I mean, with the addition of Spike I have this feeling that this show is going to be the slashiest show eveeeer. Smallville was also good, but am thinking it will be better next week. I think for the first time ever, I was sparkling at Clark. Will be interesting to see the conscequences of his actions. Also, does Lionel not have security cameras? ANYWHERE in that building? @__@ Come on. Speaking of which, want to bitchslap that man and hope Lex does so next week. In addition to doing the same to Helen - like, "Get out of my castle, bitch," at gunpoint! (Not like he will. Although I can't believe Lex is so much in denial that it was her.) Lana is still annoying. Chloe's haircut is cute but I'm not that impressed with her otherwise. I think if Lex was going to hallucinate, he should have come up with something far more interesting. The Kents are as wonderful as ever. Eee. So hyped for next weeeeek~~~ nyonyo @ 09:57 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2003 Mwahahah. Three more days until the Angel premiere. New Wes/Lilah layout to celebrate - I actually made this months ago but didn't both to put it up. There was an entire week of my summer vacation where I only read Wes/Lilah fanfic and made this layout. Am thinking this will just become the blog for "shows by the WB I've sold my soul to". Which would include Gilmore Girls, Smallville, and the yummy Angel goodness. The trailer for Angel is just gorgeous. Mmmmmm. Spike. nyonyo @ 07:53 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2003 |
